Our duo REFLECT harp+percussion was delighted to perform our original transcription of the first movement of Debussy's orchestral masterpiece, La Mer.
During the pandemic, our duo REFLECT harp+percussion performed a 7-episode live-streaming mini-concert series on YouTube. This episode features a duo composition by my husband, Dr. Brian Graiser, followed by Gabriel Faure's "Impromptu," one of the most beautiful standard pieces in the harp repertoire (start at 6:16 for the harp solo).
For episode 5 of our live-streaming mini-concert series in the spring of 2020, we each performed a solo. For my harp solo, I played a solo written for me by Brian: "The Earth Laughs in Flowers." Start at 11:11 for a description of the piece or 16:46 for the beginning of the piece.
It was my pleasure to collaborate with the Sam Houston State University Department of Dance in this performance of Carlos Salzedo's harp solo "Scintillation" with Donald C. Shorter Jr.'s choreography: "Where No One Could Find Us."
